A Guide To Gewurztraminer Wine

Gewurztraminer is one of the lesser common grapes used to make wines as many people have not heard of it before, it is a white grape that can produce excellent aroma which can compliment any suitable meal. This is often grown in the cooler climates as it will be much easier to perfect the end result giving a unique experience when consumed, it often taste dry but has a high sugar level giving it a loud taste of things such as roses and fruits. Small bubbles can be seen in the glass giving it an edge over some of the competition.

There are many variations of the Gewurztraminer and it began as a green skinned grape but over the years has become a shade of red which is mainly down to the cross breeds and growing conditions it has been subject to over time. Although it is not one of the common grapes it is still grown in places such as France, Australia, Germany, Italy and many more. It can be hard to find the best conditions because the Gewurztraminer grape is very particular about the soil and climate which plays a major role in the final result that is produced.
