Argentinean wine

This deep purple grape is a one of the six grapes allowed in Bordeaux wines, although Argentina is now a well known producer of Malbec. The wine has plum-like flavourings, a deep purple colour and high tannins that makes it ideal for adding complexity to blended wines.
The grape needs a sunny climate and are sensitive to frost and disease. Argentinian Malbec wine tends to be richer, but can run the risks of having insufficient levels of acidity.
