A Guide To Argentinean Wine

Argentina is known as the largest wine producer in South America and has been places 5th in the whole world. They have been producing wine ever since Juan Cedron brought the first vines to the country back in 1557, firstly it was just distributed locally and then as it became popular it soon hit the whole country. The Argentineans take the approach of quantity over quality as they export hundreds of millions worth of wine each and every year. It has been proven that they actually consume a large proportion of the wine they manufacture which also has to be taken into consideration.

Argentina produce wines of many different styles and flavours, they currently are creating the wines using seven white grapes and seven red grapes and have become notorious for its Malbec wine. Argentina has a great climate to produce wine because the vineyards rarely will face the problems other countries will experience such as insects, moulds and fungi. Many of the other countries will be forced to used pesticides to guarantee that the grapes will be safe but as Argentinean wine producers don’t need to use these it allows them to make more organic wine which can be seen in the quality.
