The United States of America is sometimes overlooked as a producer of quality wine. This could not be further from the truth – the top wines produced in the USA now equal those of Europe.

Wine production tends to be focused in California, where regions such as Sonoma, Napa and Monterey have been producing quality wines for decades often with a very attractive price tag. More recently regions such as New York State on the east coast are gaining in popularity.
